Abstract
This study aims to analyze the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the Instagram app and its impact on user experience and convenience. Using qualitative research methods through observation, visual analysis, literature review, and direct observation of Instagram usage, this study identifies various AI-based features that actively influence user interactions. The research findings indicate that AI plays a significant role in improving personalization and efficiency of use through features such as tag recommendations, object recognition, feed and reel algorithms, and spam and malicious content detection systems. This implementation has been shown to improve content relevance, navigation convenience, and platform security. However, the study also found negative impacts such as decreased self-confidence due to the use of filters, reduced real-world social interactions, the risk of information manipulation, and the potential for digital fraud. Overall, the integration of AI on Instagram significantly improves the user experience, but still requires control and digital literacy to be used wisely and safely.
