Manuscript Types
EduMatika: Jurnal MIPA (EMJU) accepts scholarly manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics and natural sciences education, and related interdisciplinary scientific fields.
The journal welcomes theoretical, empirical, experimental, computational, applied, educational, and interdisciplinary research that demonstrates originality, scientific rigor, and meaningful contributions to Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPA).
All submitted manuscripts must be original, relevant to the journal's focus and scope, and prepared in accordance with the journal's author guidelines and publication ethics policies.
EduMatika: Jurnal MIPA considers the following manuscript types:
1. Original Research Articles
Original Research Articles present original findings from empirical, theoretical, experimental, computational, or applied research that make a significant scholarly contribution within the journal's scope.
These articles may employ quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, experimental, quasi-experimental, analytical, computational, mathematical modeling, statistical, laboratory-based, field-based, research and development, design-based research, or other appropriate scientific approaches.
Relevant studies may address:
-
Pure and applied mathematics, including mathematical modeling, numerical analysis, optimization, and computational mathematics.
-
Statistics, probability, statistical modeling, time-series analysis, and applied data analysis.
-
Theoretical, experimental, computational, and applied physics.
-
Fundamental, analytical, experimental, computational, and applied chemistry.
-
Biological sciences, including ecology, biodiversity, microbiology, genetics, biotechnology, and applied biology.
-
Mathematics education, biology education, chemistry education, physics education, and integrated science education.
-
STEM education, curriculum development, educational assessment, instructional technologies, and teacher professional development.
-
Interdisciplinary research integrating mathematics, statistics, physics, chemistry, biology, and related scientific disciplines.
Research articles should generally include:
-
Title, Abstract, and Keywords
-
Introduction
-
Research Methods
-
Results and Discussion
-
Conclusion
-
References
The research objectives, methodology, analysis, and conclusions must be clearly presented and supported by appropriate scholarly evidence.
For theoretical mathematics, computational research, scientific modeling, review-oriented theoretical studies, and other discipline-specific research, the manuscript structure may be adapted where necessary, provided that the research approach, analytical procedures, findings, and scholarly contribution are clearly explained.
2. Short Communications
Short Communications present concise reports of original research findings that are relevant, scientifically sound, and suitable for timely scholarly dissemination within mathematics, statistics, natural sciences, and MIPA education.
This manuscript type may include focused empirical findings, preliminary results supported by adequate evidence, methodological developments, mathematical or statistical innovations, experimental observations, computational findings, innovative educational practices, or specific scientific contributions that do not require a full-length article.
Short Communications must clearly describe the research objectives, methods, principal findings, and scholarly implications.
Although shorter than regular research articles, these manuscripts are subject to the same standards of originality, scientific integrity, and peer review.
3. Review Articles
Review Articles provide critical and systematic examinations of existing scholarly literature within the journal's focus and scope.
Review manuscripts must go beyond descriptive summaries by presenting meaningful synthesis, critical analysis, research gaps, and implications for future research in mathematics, statistics, physics, chemistry, biology, natural sciences education, and related interdisciplinary fields.
EduMatika: Jurnal MIPA accepts the following forms of review articles:
Literature Reviews: Critical and structured syntheses of published research addressing a defined topic in mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, physics, chemistry, biology, natural sciences education, or related scientific disciplines.
Systematic Reviews: Reviews conducted using transparent, reproducible procedures for identifying, selecting, evaluating, and synthesizing relevant studies.
Meta-Analyses: Quantitative syntheses of findings from multiple studies using appropriate statistical techniques.
Review articles must clearly explain their objectives, literature selection or search approach, analytical methods, and scholarly contributions.
General Requirements
All manuscript types must comply with the following requirements:
-
The manuscript must be relevant to the journal's aims and scope, including mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, physics, chemistry, biology, natural sciences education, or related interdisciplinary scientific fields.
-
The submitted work must be original and must not have been previously published or be under consideration by another journal.
-
Research methods and scholarly arguments must be appropriate to the manuscript type and the scientific discipline being addressed.
-
Citations and references must follow the journal's prescribed referencing style, including APA Style (7th Edition).
-
Authors must comply with the journal's authorship criteria, research ethics, plagiarism policy, and other applicable editorial policies.
-
Manuscripts must follow the current EduMatika: Jurnal MIPA article template and author guidelines.
-
All submissions are subject to editorial screening and evaluation under the journal's double-blind peer-review policy.
The editorial team reserves the right to determine whether a manuscript is suitable for the journal and whether its classification is appropriate.
Manuscripts addressing pure mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, theoretical or experimental physics, chemistry, biology, or related scientific applications are eligible for consideration even when they do not contain a direct educational component, provided that they demonstrate a clear contribution to the journal's stated scientific scope.
Research in information technology, engineering, economics, social sciences, or other disciplines may also be considered when it demonstrates a substantive mathematical, statistical, natural science, or MIPA educational contribution.
Manuscripts without a meaningful connection to the journal's stated scope may be declined during initial editorial screening.
