Economic: Journal Economic and Business (EJEB) welcomes original scholarly manuscripts in the fields of economics, accounting, management, business, and related disciplines within the journal's focus and scope.

Authors are required to prepare their manuscripts in accordance with these guidelines and the official EJEB manuscript template. Submissions that do not comply with the journal's requirements may be returned for technical revision before editorial evaluation.

Manuscript Template

All manuscripts submitted to Economic: Journal Economic and Business (EJEB) must be prepared using the official EJEB manuscript template in Microsoft Word format (.docx).

Download the Official EJEB Manuscript Template:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-NREKqDGovne2qaoio18SFovebVFe1Bx/view

Authors must follow the formatting and manuscript structure provided in the template. Manuscripts should not exceed 15 pages, including tables, figures, and references.

The abstract must contain 100–200 words in each language (Indonesian and English), and citations and references must follow APA Style.

For double-blind peer review, authors must remove identifying information from the manuscript submitted for review and provide complete author details through the OJS submission metadata.

1. General Submission Requirements

Manuscripts submitted to EJEB must meet the following requirements:

  1. The manuscript must be original, scientifically sound, and relevant to the journal's focus and scope.

  2. The manuscript must not have been previously published or be under consideration by another journal.

  3. All authors must have made appropriate scholarly contributions and approved the submitted version.

  4. The manuscript must be prepared using the official EJEB Microsoft Word template.

  5. The manuscript must not exceed 15 pages, including tables, figures, and references.

  6. All sources, data, figures, and other scholarly materials must be properly acknowledged.

  7. Authors must comply with EJEB's publication ethics, authorship, plagiarism, and conflict of interest policies.

Submission of a manuscript indicates that the authors agree to comply with the journal's editorial and publication requirements.

2. Manuscript Types

EJEB accepts the following types of scholarly manuscripts:

Original Research Articles

Articles presenting original research findings, supported by appropriate research methods, analysis, and discussion.

Short Communications

Concise scholarly articles presenting focused research findings, preliminary results, or significant academic contributions that can be communicated in a shorter format.

Review Articles

Articles providing systematic, critical, or comprehensive evaluations and syntheses of existing scholarly literature within the journal's scope.

All manuscript types must demonstrate scholarly relevance, originality, and appropriate academic rigor.

3. Language Requirements

EJEB accepts manuscripts written in Indonesian or English.

Authors must use clear, accurate, and consistent academic language throughout the manuscript.

Every manuscript must include an abstract in both Indonesian and English, regardless of the language used in the main text.

Authors are responsible for ensuring the linguistic quality of their manuscripts before submission.

4. Manuscript Format

Manuscripts must be prepared in Microsoft Word format using the official EJEB template.

The general formatting requirements are:

  • Paper size: A4.

  • Maximum length: 15 pages, including references.

  • Font: Times New Roman.

  • Main text font size: 10 pt.

  • Line spacing: Single.

The article title must be concise, informative, and accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.

Author information must include full names, institutional affiliations, and email addresses.

The corresponding author must be clearly identified and is responsible for communication with the editorial office.

Because EJEB applies a double-blind peer-review system, identifying information must be excluded from the anonymized manuscript submitted for review.

Author names, affiliations, email addresses, acknowledgments that reveal identity, and other identifying details must be provided separately through the OJS submission metadata or an appropriate supplementary title page.

The editorial team may request an anonymized version of the manuscript when identifying information is detected.

6. Abstract and Keywords

Every manuscript must contain an abstract in Indonesian (Abstrak) and English (Abstract).

Each abstract must contain 100–200 words and provide a concise, informative summary of the research.

The abstract should communicate:

  1. The research background or problem.

  2. The research objective.

  3. The research method or approach.

  4. The principal findings.

  5. The main conclusion.

Abstracts must be written clearly and independently, without citations or unnecessary abbreviations.

Each abstract must be accompanied by three relevant keywords, separated by semicolons, following the journal template.

Keywords should represent the principal concepts of the research and facilitate indexing and scholarly discovery.

7. Manuscript Structure

Original Research Articles should generally follow the structure provided in the EJEB template.

7.1. Introduction

The Introduction should explain the research background, relevant scholarly literature, research problem, and objectives.

Authors should identify the significance of the research, its relationship to previous studies, and its expected contribution to the field.

Relevant theoretical foundations and previous research may be incorporated into the Introduction. A separate theoretical or literature review section may be included when appropriate to the research design.

7.2. Research Method

The Research Method section should clearly describe the procedures used to conduct the study.

Depending on the research approach, this section may include:

  • Research design and approach.

  • Research setting, population, sample, or research participants.

  • Data sources and data collection procedures.

  • Research instruments or measurement techniques.

  • Data analysis methods.

  • Other methodological information necessary to understand the research.

The methodology should be described sufficiently to support scholarly evaluation of the research process.

7.3. Results and Discussion

The Results and Discussion section should present the research findings clearly and provide an analytical interpretation of their significance.

Results may be supported by tables, figures, charts, or other relevant illustrations.

The discussion should relate the findings to the research objectives, theoretical foundations, and relevant previous studies.

Authors should explain the scholarly implications of their findings and maintain consistency between the presented data and the conclusions drawn.

Subsections may be used to organize complex findings and discussions.

7.4. Conclusion

The Conclusion should summarize the principal findings in relation to the research objectives.

Conclusions must be supported by the results and discussion presented in the manuscript.

Where relevant, authors may describe the implications of the findings and directions for future research.

The Conclusion should not introduce new findings or unsupported claims.

7.5. References

The References section must contain all scholarly sources cited in the manuscript.

References must be presented consistently using APA Style and comply with the journal's reference requirements.

Review Articles and Short Communications may use a structure appropriate to their scholarly purpose, provided that the manuscript remains logically organized and follows the EJEB template wherever applicable.

8. Tables, Figures, and Equations

Tables and figures must be relevant, clearly presented, and appropriately numbered.

Each table and figure must have a descriptive caption and be referred to in the manuscript text.

Tables should be editable where practical, and figures should have sufficient resolution for clear reproduction.

Sources of tables, figures, or adapted materials must be acknowledged appropriately.

Mathematical equations should be presented clearly and numbered consecutively when necessary, following the formatting conventions of the journal template.

9. Citations and References

EJEB requires the use of APA Style for in-text citations and reference lists.

Authors must ensure that:

  1. Every source cited in the text appears in the reference list.

  2. Every reference listed is cited in the manuscript.

  3. Bibliographic information is accurate and complete.

  4. References are relevant to the research topic and scholarly discussion.

  5. DOI links are included where available and applicable.

  6. Citation and reference formatting is consistent throughout the manuscript.

Manuscripts should contain at least 15 relevant scholarly references.

Authors are encouraged to prioritize relevant and current scholarly journal articles, supported by appropriate books, conference proceedings, and other credible academic sources.

Self-citations should not exceed 20% of the reference list and must be academically relevant.

The use of reference management software, such as Mendeley or Zotero, is recommended to maintain citation accuracy and consistency.

10. Double-Blind Peer Review

EJEB implements a double-blind peer-review process, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other during manuscript evaluation.

To support this process, authors must:

  • Remove author names, affiliations, and email addresses from the review manuscript.

  • Avoid statements that directly reveal author identity.

  • Remove identifying information from document properties where practical.

  • Provide complete author information through the OJS submission metadata.

  • Ensure that supplementary materials intended for reviewers do not unnecessarily disclose author identities.

Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening are evaluated by qualified reviewers according to the journal's peer-review policy.

The final editorial decision is based on scholarly merit, reviewer assessments, and compliance with journal requirements.

11. Originality and Plagiarism Screening

Submitted manuscripts must represent original scholarly work.

EJEB uses Turnitin to support originality and similarity screening during editorial assessment.

Similarity reports are evaluated in context, considering appropriate citations, quotations, standard terminology, and the nature of textual overlap.

A similarity percentage alone does not determine whether plagiarism has occurred.

Manuscripts involving substantial plagiarism, inappropriate duplication, or serious violations of publication ethics may be rejected in accordance with EJEB's established policies.

12. Research Ethics and Conflict of Interest

Authors must ensure that their research and manuscript preparation comply with applicable ethical principles.

All relevant financial and non-financial conflicts of interest must be disclosed.

Authors must accurately acknowledge funding sources, research contributions, and the use of third-party materials.

Research involving human participants or confidential information must comply with applicable ethical and institutional requirements.

Any suspected research misconduct will be handled according to EJEB's publication ethics and research misconduct policies.

13. Manuscript Submission Procedure

All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the official EJEB Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform:

https://jurnal.larisma.or.id/index.php/EJEB/about/submissions

Authors must register or log in to the journal's online submission system and follow the submission instructions.

During submission, authors must:

  1. Select the appropriate manuscript section or article type.

  2. Upload the manuscript in Microsoft Word format using the EJEB template.

  3. Provide complete and accurate manuscript metadata.

  4. Enter the names, affiliations, and email addresses of all contributing authors.

  5. Supply the article title, abstract, and keywords as required.

  6. Provide any supplementary documents requested by the editorial team.

  7. Confirm compliance with the journal's submission requirements and publication ethics policies.

Authors should monitor the manuscript's progress through their OJS accounts and respond to editorial correspondence when necessary.

14. Manuscript Revision

Authors receiving revision requests are expected to address reviewer and editorial comments carefully.

Revised manuscripts should be accompanied by a response explaining the changes made.

Where authors disagree with a reviewer recommendation, they should provide an academically reasoned explanation.

The editorial team may request further revisions or additional peer review when necessary.

A request for revision does not guarantee acceptance.

15. Article Processing Charges

EJEB does not charge manuscript submission or peer-review fees.

An Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 500,000 applies only to manuscripts formally accepted for publication.

Payment does not influence the editorial decision and does not guarantee acceptance.

EJEB does not offer paid fast-track review or guaranteed acceptance services.

Further information is available on the journal's Author Fee page:

16. Copyright and Open Access

EJEB is an open-access journal.

Authors retain copyright to their published articles, which are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

Readers may access and reuse published content in accordance with the applicable license terms.

Further information is available in the journal's Copyright and License Policy and Open Access Policy.
