Electronic Archiving

Economic: Journal Economic and Business (EJEB) is committed to maintaining the accessibility, integrity, and long-term availability of its published scholarly content.

This policy outlines the journal's approach to electronic archiving, digital preservation, and the continuity of access to published articles.

1. Electronic Archiving

EJEB maintains its published scholarly content through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) publishing platform.

Published articles are organized into volumes and issues and made accessible through the journal's official online archives.

The journal maintains electronic publication records, including article metadata, abstracts, references, and published full-text files.

2. Digital Preservation

EJEB recognizes the importance of preserving scholarly publications against accidental data loss, technical failures, and changes in publishing infrastructure.

The journal's digital preservation approach includes maintaining publication files and metadata, implementing appropriate backup procedures, and supporting the recovery of journal content when necessary.

3. Backup and Data Recovery

The journal aims to maintain appropriate backup and recovery procedures for its publishing system, including:

  • OJS database records and publication metadata.

  • Published article files and associated digital materials.

  • Journal configuration and relevant publishing records.

  • Secure storage of backup copies.

  • Restoration procedures in the event of technical disruption or data loss.

Backup arrangements are maintained and reviewed according to the journal's technical infrastructure and operational requirements.

4. Long-Term Access

EJEB is committed to providing continued access to its published articles through its official website.

Published content remains accessible through the journal's online archive, subject to applicable legal, ethical, and technical requirements.

In the event of changes to the journal's publishing platform or hosting infrastructure, the journal will seek to maintain the integrity and accessibility of its scholarly publication records.

5. Persistent Identification and Metadata

Where assigned, Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) support persistent identification and discovery of published articles.

The journal maintains bibliographic metadata to facilitate scholarly citation, indexing, and retrieval.

DOI registration and indexing services complement the journal's archiving activities but do not independently constitute a comprehensive digital preservation system.

6. Preservation Development

EJEB supports the development of sustainable digital preservation arrangements, including the evaluation of recognized third-party preservation services and institutional repository options.

Any participation in external preservation networks will be publicly identified once the relevant service has been activated and verified.

7. Access to Published Archives

Readers can access published issues and articles through the journal's official archive:
