Copyright and License

Economic: Journal Economic and Business (EJEB) is an open-access scholarly journal committed to the dissemination, accessibility, and responsible reuse of scientific knowledge. The journal applies a copyright and licensing policy that protects authors' rights while supporting the broad distribution and reuse of published research.

1. Copyright Ownership

Authors who publish in Economic: Journal Economic and Business (EJEB) retain the copyright to their published works.

By submitting and publishing an article in EJEB, authors grant the journal the non-exclusive right of first publication and the right to publish, reproduce, distribute, and make the article publicly available as part of the journal's scholarly publication activities.

Copyright ownership remains with the authors, and publication in EJEB does not constitute a transfer of copyright to the journal or its publisher.

2. Creative Commons License

All articles published in EJEB are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

License details are available at:

https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/

Under this license, users are permitted to:

  • Share: Copy and redistribute published articles in any medium or format for any purpose, including commercial purposes.

  • Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon published materials for any purpose, including commercial purposes.

These permissions are subject to the following conditions:

Attribution: Users must provide appropriate credit to the original authors, acknowledge the original publication in EJEB, provide a link to the license, and indicate whether changes have been made.

ShareAlike: If users remix, transform, or build upon the material, they must distribute their contributions under the same license as the original material.

No Additional Restrictions: Users may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from exercising the permissions granted by the license.

The license does not imply that the original authors or EJEB endorse any subsequent use or adaptation of the published material.

3. Rights of Authors

Authors retain the following rights:

  1. The right to be recognized and properly attributed as the creators of their scholarly works.

  2. The right to reuse their published articles in subsequent scholarly works, books, teaching materials, presentations, and other academic activities, with appropriate acknowledgment of the original publication.

  3. The right to deposit and distribute their manuscripts or published articles through institutional repositories, personal websites, academic networks, and other appropriate platforms.

  4. The right to enter into separate, non-exclusive arrangements for the distribution of the published version of their articles, provided that the original publication in EJEB is appropriately acknowledged and the applicable Creative Commons license is respected.

  5. The right to retain other intellectual property rights that are not transferred or otherwise affected by the publication agreement.

Authors are encouraged to share their research to support scholarly communication, research visibility, and the dissemination of scientific knowledge.

4. Rights of Readers and Other Users

EJEB provides immediate open access to its published content without subscription barriers.

Readers and other users may access, read, download, copy, distribute, print, link to, and reuse published articles in accordance with the CC BY-SA 4.0 license.

Permission from the authors or the journal is not required for uses permitted under the applicable license, provided that its terms and conditions are fulfilled.

Users remain responsible for respecting applicable copyright, attribution, and other legal requirements.

5. Author Responsibilities and Warranties

By submitting a manuscript to EJEB, authors confirm that:

  1. The submitted work is original and does not unlawfully infringe the intellectual property rights of others.

  2. The manuscript has not been previously published and is not simultaneously under consideration by another journal, except where expressly permitted under the journal's policies.

  3. All individuals listed as authors have approved the manuscript and meet the journal's authorship criteria.

  4. Necessary permissions have been obtained for third-party materials that are not covered by applicable exceptions or other lawful uses.

  5. Appropriate acknowledgment and citation are provided for materials originating from other sources.

  6. The authors have the necessary rights to authorize publication of the submitted work under the journal's licensing terms.

Authors remain responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of their published work.

6. Co-Authorship and Publication Agreement

For manuscripts prepared by multiple authors, the corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the manuscript and understand the journal's copyright and licensing policy.

All authors must agree to the publication of the article under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license.

Authorship eligibility, author contributions, and changes in authorship are governed by the journal's Authorship Criteria policy.

7. Third-Party Materials

Authors must identify and appropriately acknowledge third-party materials incorporated into their manuscripts.

Where third-party materials are subject to licensing restrictions or separate permissions, their applicable copyright and licensing conditions must be clearly indicated.

Such materials are not automatically covered by the article's Creative Commons license when a separate rights statement or other applicable legal restriction specifies otherwise.

8. Publication and Editorial Rights

EJEB reserves the right to undertake editorial and production activities necessary for scholarly publication, including copyediting, formatting, typesetting, metadata preparation, and online dissemination.

Editorial changes affecting the substantive meaning of the manuscript must be appropriately communicated to the authors.

The journal may publish corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions when necessary in accordance with its publication ethics and editorial policies.

9. Open Access and Licensing Continuity

EJEB supports the long-term accessibility and responsible reuse of published scholarly content.

The Creative Commons license applied to a published article governs reuse of that article according to its terms. The withdrawal or retraction of an article does not, by itself, revoke permissions already granted under the applicable Creative Commons license.

Any subsequent correction, retraction, or other editorial notice will be handled in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies.
